Shane turns 3!!!

On June 27th we celebrated Shane's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. He said his favorite part was "playing all the games".

The Italian Job

Last week I was in Italy for our European sales meeting. Fortunately, I was able to spend some time exploring Milan and Rome. We eventually made our way to Lido di Camaiore a small coastal town in Tuscany. Here are some photos of the trip....enjoy!

Milan's towering Gothic Cathedral, the magnificent "Duomo" took more than five centuries to complete. http://milan.arounder.com/milans_duomo_cathedral/

Church ceiling in Rome.

The Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain is the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome. http://www.aviewoncities.com/rome/trevi.ht

Construction of the Colosseum began about 72 AD and ended in 80 AD. Its true name is the "Flavian Amphitheatre". It could hold more than 50,000 spectators who viewed gladiatorial contests, hunts, and mock naval battles (the Colosseum could be flooded). http://ancient-rome.tripod.com/colosseum/colosseum.htm

The Circus Maximus was built in 326 BC and could hold 250,000 spectators. It is located in a valley formed by the Palatine and Aventine hills. It is famous for the many chariot races it held. http://ancient-rome.tripod.com/circusmax/circus_max.htm

Lido di Camaiore is a a modern seaside resort with particularly attractive resorts and numerous villas set amidst delighthul gardens, wide streets, squares and public parks.

The first historic information dates from the beginning of this millenium when the territory called Lido di Camaiore (then, "Litus Maris") with the rest of Versilia, was the stage of long and bloody battles between Pisa and Lucca.

Kole and Shane's Birthday Party

This year Kole turned 5 while Shane finally reached the age of 3. We still can't believe how fast they're growing up! Steff and I are so fortunate to have these wonderful boys in our lives! Thanks to everyone who attended and a special thanks goes out to Grandma and Grandpa Kato letting us have the party at their newly remodeled house.

Strawberry Festival 2008

Every year we make our way up to Oxnard for the Strawberry Festival. Steff and her family have been involved since day one. Now the third generation of Kato's are enjoying the festivities.

So long Butterfly.....

Recently Kole and Shane set up their own butterfly farm. It was amazing to see the transformation process from larvae to full grown butterflies. Even more delightful was how enthralled the boys were with these little creatures! Kole said he was sad to see them fly away but enjoyed their special time together.
